What are Under Eye Fillers?

Have you ever woken up and felt that your eyes were a little saggy? Maybe you attributed it to the marathon of sleep you had over the weekend. But what if you start noticing it even when you have not had a long sleep? Or could it be a sign of age and lifestyle decisions catching up with you?

Eye bags or sunken eyes are indeed not something pleasant and easy to deal with. But if that is your struggle; the saggy skin under your eyes, the occasional dark circles, and tired look. Maybe what you need is an under eye filler.

Under eye fillers are injectable treatments that are aimed at improving the appearance of your skin but strengthening the fat pads under such skin. These filers are made of hyaluronic acid predominantly.  As a person grow up, it is normal that with time they will start losing the naturally occurring hyaluronic acid that is present in the dermis.

Since this is a common phenomenon associated with the aging process, it causes a hollow in areas of the skin that makes a once glowing and attractive skin a little bit less desirable. The hyaluronic acid in under-eye fillers helps to pull water for additional plumping power, which n turns creates thick and fresh skin in these areas affected. There is a general sense of improvement after such a procedure. Dark circles will gradually disappear while the skin will look naturally fresh even in old age.

Is the procedure safe?

The basic answer is YES. But I must add that the answer remains YES if the procedure is done by an experienced professional. This is because in the hands of a mediocre Doc, a simple procedure can get complicated and can even lead to other life-threatening medical incidents.

Not to be scared though as it remains a very simple procedure. So what can you do if you decide to undergo it?

  • Be sure to ascertain that the medical personnel attending to you are board-certified in the appropriate specialty, which in this case is experienced in cosmetic beauty.
  • Check that he is also experienced in injecting as he must be precise when performing the procedure.
  • Ask enough questions to the cosmetic professional; take your time and discuss what you may have in mind. Make sure you hide nothing, from your allergies to your medical history. It will also be a great thing to discuss any fear or anxiety you may have as related to the procedure.

How much does it cost?

For this purpose, we will use a universally accepted currency. It is a procedure that can cost anywhere from $800 – $1,000 in Singapore. So regardless of what currency you have at hand, just do the math to know what its equivalent will be in your currency.

Even though the whole procedure can last up to 30 minutes, some people can use up to two syringes, even though only one is recommended. Whatever the case may be, you can get rid of the baddy eyes by choosing a good under-eye filler treatment or treatment plan.
